The joint CMM-SolMech 2022 conference was held in Świnoujście (Poland) on September 5-8, 2022. The event encompassed the 24th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics (CMM) and the 42nd Solid Mechanics Conference (SolMech).

The series of CMM conferences is organized by the Polish Association for Computational Mechanics (PACM). Started in 1973, the CMM conference series is dedicated to numerical methods and their applications to the mechanics-based problems.

The series of SolMech conferences have been organized by the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN) since 1953 and cover all aspects of solid mechanics.

Due to the unusual situation caused by COVID-19, we have decided to organize a joint conference — CMM-SolMech 2022 — gathering the two communities. This time, the conference was co-organized by the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (ZUT). The conference venue was the Radisson Blu Resort hotel located at the Baltic seaside in Świnoujście.
